Safe

Our hydraulic flakers make feeding your livestock a safe 1-person job. Other than missing your gate buddy, it’ll be hard to feed any other way once you try it.

How Our Hay Flakers Work

Step 1: Choose Your Model

We offer 2 models, including our flatbed hay flaker & our trailer hay flaker. Our flatbed model simply bolts to your vehicle and is designed to easily be taken on and off throughout the year. Our trailer hay flaker is an 8′ custom-built trailer that is pulled behind your vehicle with a 2″ ball.

Step 2: Load Your Hay

Both our flatbed flaker and trailer flaker hold 2 medium or big bales. 3x3x8 or 3x4x8 bales are recommended, although we also offer custom fits if needed. After placing your first bale, our remote activates the hydraulic lifting arm and flips the bale forward to make room for your second bale.

Step 3: Feed Your First Bale

Once you cut the twine or wire off your first bale, you’re ready to go. Simply grab your remote and head to the feeding ground. The remote controls the pushing arm to feed your bale through our hay cogs that break up the bale and allow you to drop 1 flake at a time.

Step 4: Prepare Your 2nd Bale

After flaking your first bale, we use the remote to reverse the pushing arm back to the original position and then follow the same procedure as steps 2 & 3 to get our second bale in the feeding position.
